This is an anthology put together by some of the best up-and-coming horror directors working today. That being said, it's an interesting but ultimately unrewarding experiment. Four assholes who make money by assaulting women for "found porn" sites get an offer for more money than they could make in a month by just doing one job: breaking into the house of an old man and stealing a particular VHS tape. However, what they find is a dead old guy and a bunch of VHS tapes. Not knowing which is the right one for their payday, they decide to watch the movies, finding 1) some college boys trying to film a score that goes horribly wrong, 2) a young couple on a roadtrip anniversary that goes horribly wrong, 3) a couple of Skypers concerned that the girl's house might be haunted, and 4) a group of guys trying to find a haunted house party that goes horribly wrong.
Aside from the first and the fourth vignettes, the movie really only highlights that young men with videocameras are assholes. The first one is definitely the best of the batch, but the shaky "found footage" aspect is nauseating. It is not that hard to hold a camera still, even if you're an amateur. This and it's sequel are both available through Netflix streaming but I would recommend you use the fast-forward button pretty liberally.
